Due to the poor rainfall, water restrictions within the next few months are inevitable. Sydney Water conducted research which has shown that the dam levels across the 11 dams situated in Greater Sydney have fallen faster then they have in decades. This means water restrictions are just around the corner for us.
What this means for you?
If dam levels continue to decrease at the rate they currently are, water restrictions will come in force. This means that you can only water before 10am and after 4pm and no watering of hard surfaces. For more information on the water restrictions, please visit NSW Office of Environment & Heritage.
What can I do?
When it does rain, we need to capture the water that we can to use through drought-stricken times. This is the perfect time to invest in a concrete tank as when the rain does come, you can store this to use when needed.
